The department has a very busy road transport network. When doing interventions on roads, or near roads, high visibility is really crucial. That is why the department wanted a solution that complies with the EN 469 / EN ISO 20471 standard. A retroreflective striping with yellow prisms was our answer. For this firefighter suit, the 529 complex was chosen. It combines excellent lightweight protection with good mechanical resistance.

The classical long jacket complies with the high visibility standard. It is the only striping on the market that is both yellow fluorescent and retroreflective on the whole surface. The striping offers a retroreflection that is three times stronger than that of a striping with glass beads in rainy weather.
These normal waist trousers are over-trousers that need undergarments. The braces are adjustable and removable. The openings on the side of the lower legs improve the ergonomics. The trousers can be put on and off more easily. In addition, they reduces heat stress. Another improvement are the reinforced knees with coated and cut resistant Kevlar® and foam.
