This firefighter suit is adapted to the weather conditions of Southern France, as it is light and offers a good breathability. It is the official garment of the Gard (a region in the south of France) training school. The jacket has a removable hood that is adapted to the helmet used in this region. The region's conventional colour for fire suits is blue. The 529 complex was chosen for its breathability and mechanical resistance.
This short jacket has a detachable hood that can cover the helmet and to which the respirator mask can be attached. To increase the visibility, two types of retroreflective striping were used. Even during the night, firefighters are visible thanks to the reflection flashlights. The position of the reflective stripes highlights the skeleton of the firefighters.
The high waist trousers have an extended back to provide extra protection. Removable braces were added. The knees are reinforced with coated and cut resistant Kevlar® and foam. Thanks to the opening on the side of the lower legs, you can put your clothes on and off more easily.
