EN ISO 15384:2020
New performance requirements for wildland firefighting clothing
This new standard replaces the EN 15614 standard. It also states the different performance requirements wildland firefighter clothing has to comply with.

The Radiant Heat Transfer test is done when the garments are new and after minimum 5 washes.
RHTI Radiant Heat Transfer Index RHTI24 ≥ 11 s RHTI24 – RHTI12 ≥ 4 s Transmission factor TF ≤ 70% RHTI24: 2nd degree burn time in seconds
RHTI24 – RHTI 12: reaction/ escape time
Other requirements:
- 0.13m² or 0.2m² fluorescent minimum reflective surface required
- Ret: Resistance to water vapour EN 31092 must be ≤ 10m²Pa/W
- Rcr: Thermal resistance EN 31092 ≤ 0.055m² K/W
- Heat resistance 5 minutes at 260°C: shrinkage ≤ 5% without ignition, without fusion
