Protection, Comfort and Operational Performance

The Civil Security Military Brigade (BMSC) is notably specialized in wildland firefighting and controlled burning operations. These demanding missions require personal protective equipment combining a high level of protection, lasting comfort, and exceptional durability.

The BMSC fatigue uniform was developed with this objective in mind. It incorporates the EcoDry Shield technical fabric, an innovative blend of aramid, viscose, and wool. This combination provides an excellent balance between thermal resistance, breathability, and wearing comfort, even during prolonged operations.

The presence of wool, combined with viscose, significantly improves thermal comfort while enhancing overall protection levels.

Safety and visual identification have also been reinforced through the integration of microprismatic retro-reflective tapes, providing enhanced visibility and a visual identity specific to the BMSC.

With its loose and functional fit, the jacket of the French Civil Security Military Brigade is perfectly suited to the operational constraints of their missions. It features multiple storage pockets, including a large game pocket, allowing essential equipment to be carried without restricting movement. Its long cut ensures excellent overlap with the trousers, providing optimal protection in all working positions. Strategically positioned microprismatic retroreflective bands enhance wearer visibility beyond the minimum requirements of EN ISO 15384, contributing to increased safety during operations.

Designed in perfect coherence with the jacket, the BMSC trousers are developed to be worn for long operational periods under demanding conditions. The elasticated waistband enhances comfort and adaptability to the wearer. They feature two slanted side pockets and two pleated cargo pockets on the thighs, offering generous storage capacity for operational equipment. The lower legs incorporate microprismatic retroreflective bands for improved visibility, along with a compliant tightening system that enhances safety during movement and manoeuvres.
