Protection, Visibility & Comfort for Extreme Missions

Designed for the Brigade des Militaires de la Sécurité Civile (BMSC) – part of France’s General Directorate for Civil Security and Crisis Management (DGSCGC), this technical jacket meets the operational demands of wildland firefighting and disaster relief missions, both in France and abroad.

Built to endure extreme conditions—intense heat, long-duration operations, and hostile environments—it combines lightweight construction, excellent breathability, and high visibility.

BMSC

Specifically designed to meet the operational needs of the French Military Civil Security Brigade (BMSC – DGSCGC), this jacket was developed to support military firefighters during wildland firefighting missions and natural disaster responses, both in France and abroad. Exposed to extreme conditions — high temperatures, long interventions, and intense physical exertion — operators require PPE that combines lightness, breathability, and visibility. For this reason, the 536 Microrip fabric without membrane was selected, offering excellent breathability and optimal thermal comfort throughout the mission. The distinctive red, yellow, and black tricolor design is not only aesthetic: it plays a key role in clearly identifying French teams during international relief missions, ensuring they are recognized by local authorities and civilian populations. From a technical standpoint, the jacket features microprismatic one-piece retroreflective strips for enhanced visibility in low-light environments, a large protective hood designed to fully cover the head in emergency situations, and EN 469:2020 certification (X2 Y1 Z2), ensuring a high level of protection against radiant heat — a requirement defined by detailed risk assessments. This jacket embodies the versatility and robustness required for the demanding missions of the BMSC, while integrating ergonomic design and safety for the women and men who intervene where they’re needed most.
